Update Tracking

Battle For Embolia is positioned around frequent updates. This page will summarize official Steam news and convert patch changes into guide tasks.

Version 0.4.9 Guide Impact

The June 2026 version 0.4.9 update is important for early guide work because it adds named boss, item, area and class signals that players are likely to search for after launch.

  • Rob from the Block added as a difficult new boss.
  • Rob's Boots and Rob's Ring added as unique item targets.
  • Ninja Evasive Rage added, converting part of evasion into attack damage.
  • Portezuelo Desert monster density increased, and monsters there can drop Alberto's Punch.
  • Temple of Adorni now ends if a player logs out during the dungeon.
  • Red Temples final boss received new mechanics and should be retested.

Version 0.5.0 Guide Impact

The official v0.5.0 announcement changed Mage dual-wield behavior and added practical system notes that affect class and weapon testing.

  • Mage dual-wield passive now reduces Magic Attack, Physical Attack, Fire Damage, Ice Damage and Lightning Damage to 60% while active.
  • Equipping two weapons without the unlocked bonus, when one weapon is two-handed, can reduce damage to 1.
  • Mining picks were balanced, so mining notes should be retested before writing farming recommendations.
  • Chat messages are limited to 100 characters.
  • After server disconnection, the character remains in the world for 30 seconds and the account must wait 1 minute before logging back in.

June 27 New Update Guide Impact

The latest official Steam announcement before this guide update is especially relevant for Ninja and early leveling notes.

  • Ninja skills no longer have their damage reduced by 50% when combos are not performed.
  • The Ninja passive that prevents players from evading his attacks is now properly displayed.
  • Each character level now grants +10 HP, +10 Mana and +1 Attack.
  • Some low-level monsters were balanced, including a water-ball-shooting plant with reduced HP.

June 29 Update Guide Impact

PvP balance changes and party reward fixes.

  • Automatic skills no longer work in PvP.
  • Zombie Warrior Shield Bash and Ninja passive skill descriptions updated to clarify they do not work in PvP.
  • Fixed party miniboss not dropping rewards for all players who recently hit it.
  • Continued work on reducing desynchronization and disconnection issues.

Version 0.5.1 Changes Guide Impact

Anti-cheat improvements and UI cleanup.

  • Added button to report suspected cheaters.
  • Added special title for beta participants.
  • Removed party member count from party list.
  • Fixed level ranking displaying some numbers incorrectly.

July 1 Update: Chat, Social, Balance Guide Impact

Social features and PvP point rules.

  • Clicking player nickname in chat opens options menu with party/clan invite (if leader).
  • Added option to mute players in chat.
  • Willy Wonker now rarer to find.
  • PvP points only obtained by killing a player who has resets.
  • Meo points only obtained by peeing on a player who has resets.
  • Fixed endless void fall bug and Willy Wonker spawn-anywhere issue.

July 2 Fixes Guide Impact

Visual error corrections.

  • Fixed visual error with item stats in warehouse.
  • Fixed visual errors when learning Mining or Fishing nodes.

July 3 Startup Fix Guide Impact

The first launch-window fix addressed a startup blocker rather than balance or content.

  • Official Steam News says a startup issue prevented some players from accepting the Terms of Use.
  • If a player cannot get past Terms of Use, point them to the July 3 official fix and ask them to restart/update through Steam before assuming the account or server is broken.
  • This fix is separate from the community-reported server capacity, no slot and regional server questions.

July 4 Warehouse, Performance and Server Selection Update

The July 4 official Steam update is a small launch-window quality patch rather than a confirmed server capacity expansion.

  • Fixed a storage space issue in the warehouse.
  • Added performance improvements and optimizations.
  • Added an exit button on the server selection screen.
  • If a player is stuck on server selection, update through Steam and look for the new exit button before force-closing the client.

July 5 Update 0.5.2 Performance Patch

Update 0.5.2 is the clearest official follow-up to launch-week server pressure. It focuses on performance and capacity preparation, but it still does not publish a live server-status dashboard or a final player cap.

  • Official Steam News says Update 0.5.2 focuses on improving overall performance.
  • The patch includes major performance improvements and client-side adjustments.
  • The developer says several optimizations were needed to increase server slots, allowing more players to join at the same time.
  • The same note says stability, lag reduction and support for a larger number of connected players are still being worked on.

July 10 Version 0.5.3 Patch Notes

Version 0.5.3 is the latest official Steam patch and continues the server-performance work, while also changing clan systems, chat access, PvP safety and Ninja balance.

  • Massive structural changes were made to improve server performance and overall stability.
  • Clan bonuses and Clan Wars were reworked, so old clan guidance should be treated as outdated.
  • Global chat is now restricted to Premium members or players with at least 1 reset to reduce spam.
  • All players now start in the Embolia map.
  • Players can no longer attack other players inside hideouts.
  • Ninja's Invulnerability Aura is capped at 10 seconds and now has a visual effect.
  • Tier Updater Stones no longer work on Unique items.

July 13 Market, Bot Mitigation and Skill Point Fix

The July 13 official Steam Update is a small but searchable quality update. It affects market filtering, bot mitigation and a skill-upgrade bug, but it does not announce a new class, item drop table, server region or compensation plan.

  • The market can now be searched by item type.
  • A new system was added to help mitigate bot activity.
  • A bug was fixed where upgrading skills too quickly could consume extra skill points.
  • Players who lost extra skill points should watch official channels for any follow-up; this guide has not seen an official refund or compensation note.

July 12 Server Structure Work

The July 12 official Steam announcement says the developer is continuing internal server-structure work. It is not a new version number and does not announce a public status dashboard, queue, regional server rollout or final capacity number.

  • The developer says the work targets fewer freezes, better response times and more efficient handling of simultaneous players and actions.
  • The note specifically calls out heavy situations involving many players, combat, map changes and multiple operations at the same time.
  • Because the changes are structural and still being tested, unexpected issues may appear during the process.
  • For guide decisions, treat this as the newest official server-performance status update after Version 0.5.3, not as proof that all server-full or disconnect issues are solved.

July 4 Server Migration, Load Reduction and Disconnect Fix

The late July 4 official Steam update is the first explicit server-performance response after launch-window capacity complaints. It does not confirm new regional servers or a larger player cap.

  • Migrated the server to a new machine with faster storage to improve overall performance.
  • Temporarily disabled price checks and leaderboards to reduce server load while optimization continues.
  • Fixed issues that could cause random disconnections.
  • This update is separate from unconfirmed community requests for more servers, more slots or regional capacity.

Security Patch Guide Impact

New anti-cheat mechanisms and clan penalty changes affect PvP and clan gameplay.

  • New ban mechanisms added to detect and punish cheaters.
  • Party list now appears much later during the quest.
  • Clan leaving penalty reduced from 3 hours to 10 minutes.
  • New ranking categories added (humorous: players who peed on others most/least).
  • Fixed teleportation visual bug for other players.
  • Monsters now removed if they encounter an error.
  • Fixed Duhalde crystal input bug that could trigger abilities.

Update Notes (Skill Cooldowns) Guide Impact

Skill cooldown system reworked, affecting all class builds.

  • Skill cooldowns are no longer tied to skill slots. They are now handled directly by the skill itself.
  • New restrictions for certain actions that can now only be performed inside the city.
  • Fixed several issues related to equipping two weapons while using Dark Mage.

New Version Changes (Auto Run) Guide Impact

Quality of life improvements and new configuration options.

  • Auto Run can now be activated by pressing Q.
  • Tab Target added to keybind settings.
  • FPS limit added, configurable in options menu (default 60 FPS).
  • New language: Vietnamese.
  • Fixed mouse camera rotation bug.
  • Isabella now performs her actions correctly.
  • Fixed character getting stuck moving in one direction when game lost focus.
  • Infinite jumping no longer possible.
  • Mage now correctly gains soul charges in PvP.
  • Fixed server disconnection caused by casting Disperse while in a party.

Balance Patch Guide Impact

Major balance changes and new Steam achievements for boss defeats.

  • Damage now scales differently to prevent absurd damage numbers.
  • Character defense against monsters now scales differently.
  • Area skills now have less delay.
  • New Steam achievements added for defeating La Wea and Rob from the Block.
  • Learning an active skill now automatically adds it to the skill bar.
  • Warlock: third ascendancy no longer reduces amount of souls available for Soul Rush.
  • New languages: Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Turkish.
  • Fixed monster casting skills causing party disconnections.
  • Fixed left-click moving mouse to center of screen.
  • Fixed several Mage bugs related to generated charges.
  • Fixed issue where standing on top of monsters could make player mount them.
  • Fixed area-of-effect bug with Empty Ground.
  • Fixed monsters continuing to attack dead players.
