Steam confirms 4 weapon types, but the exact names and combat roles still need reliable confirmation. This page is structured to collect the names, scaling, range, speed and class synergies after launch.

How To Compare Weapons

Do not compare weapons by tooltip damage alone. In a fast MMORPG, the strongest weapon for farming, bossing and PvP can be different because range, animation recovery and movement lock decide how often you can safely attack.

  • For farming, prioritize repeatable damage, low downtime and safe area clearing.
  • For bosses, prioritize predictable burst windows, range control and survival during mechanics.
  • For PvP, prioritize reach, chase potential, cancel windows and whether the weapon punishes missed attacks.
  • For co-op, track whether a weapon brings control, debuffs or reliable interrupt value.

Testing Template

  • Weapon name and unlock source.
  • Attack speed, range and stamina or resource behavior.
  • Best class pairings.
  • PvE clearing value and boss value.
  • PvP pressure, chase and escape value.

Dual-Wield Rules

Dual-wield mechanics have changed significantly in recent patches. Understanding these rules is critical for build planning.

  • Staff + another weapon: 60% less damage (was 50% penalty).
  • Two-handed weapon + another weapon equipped: damage reduced to 1.
  • Dark Mage Pyromancy class can use two staves when using the matching set (no restriction).
  • Mage dual-wield passive adjusted in v0.5.0: Magic Attack, Physical Attack, Fire Damage, Ice Damage, and Lightning Damage reduced to 60% while active.
  • Equipping two weapons without the unlocked bonus, with one being two-handed, reduces damage to 1.

Crafting and Modification

Weapon modification systems have been updated. Plan your crafting strategy carefully.

  • Blacksmith and dismantling changes mean crafting value can shift from patch to patch.
  • NG-grade items cannot be crafted (error message added).
  • Dismantling NG-grade items gives 1 gold.
  • Name Forgetting Stone allows new skill names to be obtained and removes skill bonus (respec item).
  • Mining pickaxes rebalanced in v0.5.0.
  • Solidify system: locks a modifier on an item, shows purple lock, no longer rerolls the entire item.
  • Enchantments now affect solidified modifiers.

Patch Notes To Watch

  • Skill cooldowns are no longer tied to skill slots in recent update notes, so weapon plus skill routing may change.
  • Mage dual-wield passive was adjusted in v0.5.0, making dual-wield behavior a priority test area.
  • Dark Mage has official fix notes related to equipping two weapons.
  • Staff penalty increased from 50% to 60% less damage.
  • Two-handed weapon + another weapon now reduces damage to 1.
